Therapeutic Approach

Childhood and adolescence are critical developmental periods during which the foundations of mental health are established. Guided by this understanding, I strive to support youth experiencing mental health challenges and to work collaboratively with their caregivers to promote resilience, well-being, and healthy development. I foster a deep, caring relationship with youth and their families as we work together on relevant and meaningful treatment goals.

My approach integrates evidence-based interventions (e.g., Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Emotion-Focused Family Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy) with developmental science to support youth and their caregivers in making meaningful, lasting changes to their mental health and well-being.

I believe that parents and caregivers are central to their children’s mental health and well-being. I intentionally involve them as active partners in care, from establishing therapeutic goals to supporting progress through the completion of therapy.

Education and Training

I completed my doctoral training in clinical psychology at Queen's University and my predoctoral residency at the Toronto Area Residency Consortium (OISE at University of Toronto). My background includes experience in hospital, school, community,  and academic settings, working with diverse populations from early childhood to emerging adulthood.
